The Need
Our Federation has been located in Metulla since the first day of its operation. It is the very north of Israel often referred to as the Katyusha capital of the world. The last Lebanese war has produced devastation and injury affecting every family and every organization. The holding of figure skating events has been often rescheduled due to emergency circumstances and security reasons.
The Challenge We Can Win with Your Help and Our Dedication
Constructing an ice skating facility in the centre of the country will be the most powerful impetus in making figure skating a truly mass sport in Israel .Such a project has been initiated by a group of enthusiasts, to whom our federation is providing consulting support.  The realization of the project will enable many more young people to join the sport, which uniquely combines physical development, the spirit of competition and art. Moreover, half of new Israeli immigrants come from the countries, in which ice skating is extremely popular, such as the US, Canada, Eastern Europe and the former Soviet republics. Most of them reside in proximity to the site of the future ice skating rink. The construction of the ice skating facility will allow them to maintain their favorite activities and attract their native Israeli counterparts to the sport, thus bridging the cultural gap that sometimes exists in the multi-identity Israeli community. Expanded activities of the Federation will enable it to recruit more coaches and educate a whole generation of sportsmen who will proudly represent Israel in international skating competitions, with more audiences worldwide applauding their future achievements.

Ongoing Support
The IISF is currently seeking sponsors of additional training programs as well as additional resources for funding the participation of skaters in international competitions. The donations are tax exempt and can be made to ISP, a non-profit organization, which sponsors athletes from Israel, helping them to cover the costs of housing, food, equipment, clothing and traveling.
