Valeriya Postrigan: Relying on the experience of the coach

Valeriya Postrigan, 16, got into short track skating at the age of 11 fascinated by the prospect of winning the battle with the unpredictability of the ice. She thinks that courage is a matter of time, and relies on her coach in mental preparation for competitions. She has been representing the IISF since 2002 and has taken part in the Alta Valtellina Cup, Senior European and Junior World Championships. She pursues active hobbies off the ice as well – she likes swimming and playing tennis.
