Alina Tarasov: I like the feeling of speed

Alina Tarasov, 14, is the youngest of our short track skaters. She began training at the age of 8 and has been representing the IISF in competitions for the past three years. Short track attracts her with its speed, its rush of adrenalin and highly competitive spirit. She has taken part in the Alta Valtellina Cup in Bormio, Italy, but has not been yet tried the track of European or World Championships. Recalling the anxiety and the agitation of her first competition, she said that once she got started, the fear was gone. Alina thinks that motivation and patience are key elements for a good attitude to training, and her hobbies are other kinds of sports, such as athletics.
