Alexander Selezneyov: My sister had an eye for short track
Alexander Seleznyov, 17, got into short track skating at the age of 9. His sister came across an ad offering children short track skating classes. Like most of our short track skaters, Alexander soon fell for the active beauty of the sport – the extreme speed, the spirit of rivalry, the fights over the track, and all the other attributes of this highly competitive sport. He has been representing the IISF in international events since 2001, and has taken part in such competitions as the Alta Valtellina Cup and the Junior World Championships. To the questions of what helps him get on with daily training he gave a laconic answer: "I just love it". His hobbies are computers and cars. What about his dream car? A Ferrari, of course.
