A brief ride along the timeline
Since it was ventured into "the ice" in 1995, Skate Israel has been held 8 times. The last event took place in 2005. Skate Israel is an international competition attracting skaters from many countries. Along with the figure skating icon and 2002 Olympic Champion Alexei Yahudin and the 2006 Olympic Champions Tatiana Totmianina and Maxim Marinin, many other spotlight skaters have taken part in this event at various times including the 2006-7 World Champions Albena Denkova and Maxim Stavisky, the 2007 European silver medalists Oksana Domnina and Maxim Shabalin, the 2006 Olympic bronze medalists Oksana Grushina and Ruslan Goncharov, and others. Our Federation is currently making every effort to hold Skate Israel this year.
