She is the younger of the two siblings and usually lets her elder brother have his say while we talk. But this time she takes over. The reason is plain – Roma is resting, and we decide not to disturb him. After all, he has done his fair share of work this season – we are back into the top 10 in ice dance.

-Sasha, this season you have got into the top 10 both at Europeans and Worlds. Right after the competition in Gothenburg ended, Roma told us you hadn't got used to that feeling then. What about now?
-Not yet, really. It still has to sink into our minds. All we know is the goal was achieved and we will have to work even harder for the next season.

-Roma was ill before the Worlds and he didn't fully recover before the event. Were there moments in your routines when you felt you were running on empty because of it?
-Not in the routines. When you are really ready for the competition, a cold cannot steer you off the track. We felt we were really ready to go out there in the Scandinavium and perform at our very best at that moment even missing one week of training because of Roma's being ill.

-Did you feel the pressure at the Worlds more than at the Europeans?
-I usually thrive on competition. It works better for me than just training. Once I have put my costume on, and the music is about to start, it gives me an immense flow of energy and exhilaration. Roma is usually more nervous than I am. But I don't think he was more nervous before the Worlds because we had already got into the top 10 at the Euros.

-There are two months left before the June vacation. At the same time, the   ISU has chosen the "rhythms of the roaring 20s and 30s" as the next season's original dance theme –a difficult theme to interpret. Have you already started working on that?
-We have started working on new elements – steps, transitions, but we haven't chosen yet a particular rhythm for our original dance.

-Have you already begun working on the concept and the music for the next season's FD?
-We are just listening to different music pieces, but we haven't yet selected a music piece which will be our next season's FD theme. Before we go on the summer vacation, we will have to put the next season's routines together, and we will let you know by then.
-We will be definitely looking forward to that!

-I guess your parents were first in the line to get the news from you when the FD at Worlds was behind you. What did they say?
-Oh, I don't remember what they said at that particular moment. But generally they were encouraging and supporting us all the way through this season.

-When I was on my way back from Gothenburg, I spoke briefly with some Swedish businessman who was going to Russia on a business trip. I told him I was going back to Israel from the Worlds. "Yes,"– he said. "We were watching your ice dance team. They were great, especially in the original dance."  You are gaining popularity in many countries. What will be your message to your fans after this season?
-It is great to have fans in so many countries. Our message is "thank you for your interest in our skating, your care, and your support!"
