Q: Ann, what do you think of the new judging system?
A: It has raised the technical level of skating. Also, the 5 components of the second mark lend more objectivity to the judging. However, there might be a very narrow victory margin due to the selectivity of the computer. Yet, with the new judging system the 2 Olympic gold medals of Berezhnaya- Sikharulidze and Pelletier-Sale are unlikely to make a repeat.

Q: How would you define your motto in life, which you also convey to your trainees
(Ann is roller skating coach)
A: Always be first.

Q: And you main character trait?
A: Tenacity. It really helps one to achieve one's goals, especially when it comes to the rises and falls of ice skating.
