Mr. Yossi Goldberg had been the President of the IISF for 11 years. He died in 2002 after a long illness. May he rest in peace. Mr. Boris Chait became the President of the IISF in 2002. He is determined to continue along the course set out by Mr. Goldberg and to bring the IISF to a higher level of accomplishment. I have recently asked Boris a few questions about the IISF:

Q: What is your vision of the Federation five years from now?
A: At least 2 skating facilities in the center of the country. Over 1000 kids skating. A full and quality team at every major Championship. Giving an opportunity to every Jewish skater worldwide to qualify to represent the state of Israel. Skate Israel held regularly, with a wide media coverage

Q: What is the most challenging target you have set for yourself as President and for the Federation on the whole?
A: At least another medal at European or World Championships

Q: What is the most vivid impression of figure skating events you have ever had?
A: Nagano World Championships, 2002.

Q: What, in your opinion, makes figure skating so beautiful?

A: Art, sport and drama all in one.

Mr. Boris Chait, President
