Alexandra and Roman Zaretsky
Born in Minsk, Belarus, the brother and sister Zaretsky moved to Israel with their parents in 1991. Roman started skating at the age of 4, while Alexandra took to the ice at the age of 6. The siblings teamed up in 1995 and were first coached by their parents, Elena and Igor. At the beginning of the 2001/02 season Sasha and Roman moved to US and were coached by 1996 European bronze medalists Irina Romanova and Igor Yaroshenko until the summer of 2003. Then they returned to Metulla and skated there until January 2005, when they went back to the US to be coached by two-time Olympic gold medalist Evgeny Platov. They switched coaches again in the 2007/08 season and are currently coached by multiple Israeli Champion and 2002 World bronze medalist Galit Chait.
