Tamar Katz is in tenth place after the ladies’ short programme with 45.24 points ( TES 27.08/PCS 18.16) She opened her routine to the soundtrack of Gone with the Wind with a triple flip-double toe loop combination and built on to a triple Lutz and a double Axel. The ladies’ free skate is tomorrow at 8.55 CET. Tamar has to hold on to her position to qualify for the Olympics in Vancouver by the ISU criteria. Alisa Czisny of Team USA is in the lead.
The men’s contention for the remaining six berths in Vancouver has finished with the win of 2-time World Champion Stephane Lambiel. Maxim Shipov completed the race in 25th place with a total of 131.37 points. His free programme skated to the soundtrack of Exodus scored 85.48 points (TES 41.38/PCS 44.10).
