A strong finish of the pairs' competition for Israel
Danielle Montalbano and Evgeny Krasnopolsky finished just a shot outside the top-10 with 120.32 points overall. Congratulations to our team coached by Kyoko Ina and Galit Chait on first making it through to the free programme and then completing the competition in the 11th place overall. This result made up for the disappointment of the last Europeans in Bern, where Danielle dislocated her shoulder in training, and the pair had to withdraw from the event just hours before it started.
Oleksii Bychenko has qualified for the men's free programme on Friday, placing 19th in the short of what was his first European Championship, with 54.69 points.
First day of Europeans – Preliminaries Results
Oleksii Bychenko has qualified for the Short Programme placing 5th among 15 skaters with 106.19 points.
Yekaterina Bugrov and Vasili Rogov placed 17th out 0f 19 duos in the Preliminary Round of the Ice Dance event with 56.11 points and did not advance to the Short Dance. It was the first trial of senior ice for our junior team, who had to compete against a strong field of mature ice dance duos.
